We will be holding several instrument rental nights around Vancouver
Island during the month of September. Please call the store at

For
our customers outside of Victoria, we have Rental Depots across Vancouver
Island to assist you with the rental process. You may initiate or
return a rental at any one of the following locations (for information

We believe that it is crucial to provide young people with quality instruments so that they have every opportunity to find success in music.
Service
We call on your youngster's school regularly, offering fast, quality service. Maintenance on rental instruments is free and, if necessary, a loaner or exchange instrument is provided. All of our instruments are carefully set up by our qualified staff, and sterilized so that they are in excellent playing condition. Essential maintenance supplies are included with your rental instrument.
Instrument Protection Coverage
For one dollar a month, or three dollars for professional instruments (and all cellos/double basses), Larsen Music will cover the full value of most instruments in case of loss, theft, or accidental damage.
Rental Term
You can choose to rent on a monthly basis, or prepay for ten months at a discounted rate.
Ten Month Pre-Paid Rentals:
Prepaid rentals are paid in advance and are due exactly ten months from the date on the Rental Agreement.

Ten-month rentals require a Visa, MasterCard or American Express number for security
- If you renew your agreement for another 10 months BEFORE it is due, you will receive an additional two months free (usually the summer)
Prepaid rentals receive a discount on the normal monthly rate
You may return the instrument at any time for a partial refund: there is a one month minimum term
- Insurance covering loss, damage, or theft, is available for an extra $10 / 10 months ($1.00 per month) or $30/10 months ($3.00 per month)
- With a prepaid rental, you receive 100% of your first ten months principle as credit towards the purchase price of any instrument of equal or greater value. You will never lose this credit as long as the rental is active.
Monthly Rentals:
Monthly rentals require a Visa, MasterCard or American Express number for security
Rental Minimum is one month - Insurance covering loss, damage, or theft, is available for an extra $1 / month ($3/month for "step-up" instruments, as well as all cellos and double basses)
- Ongoing payments are made automatically in two ways: Electronic Bank Debit, or automatic Credit Card payment (Visa, MasterCard or American Express)
- With a monthly rental, you receive 100% of your first six months principle as credit towards the purchase of any instrument of equal or greater value. You will never lose this credit as long as the rental is active.
TWO FREE MONTHS
Receive two free months of rental when you renew your 10 month rental for the SECOND TIME. To be eligible, you must pay before your original rental agreement expires. Then, you have your instrument for the next 12 months.
Purchase
Ten-Month Rentals: If you pre-paid for ten months, 100% of the base price of your first payment counts as credit toward the purchase price of the instrument. Please note that your credit will not accrue beyond the first 10 months.
Monthly Rentals: If you are renting monthly, 100% of the base price of your first six rental payments count as credit toward the purchase price of the instrument. Please note that your credit will not accrue beyond the first 6 months.
These credits are applied to the regular retail price, NOT an inflated price. You can also transfer this credit to the purchase of any instrument of equal or greater value. Your credit is good as long as your rental account with us remains open.
Financing
You can arrange financing with us at only 1.4% per month on the declining balance, and choose the monthly payment or number of payments that is most convenient for you (maximum of 36 months).
Buy Back Guarantee
Buy a new instrument outright and, if you wish to return it, we will refund the difference between what you paid and the rental cost for the months you had the instrument, minimum three months.
Rental Refund
Return a pre-paid instrument during the rental term and you will receive a prorated refund based on our regular monthly rates.
Rental Returns
You
may terminate your rental by returning the instrument to Larsen Music
or one of our depots or representatives. Please call us directly,
and do not leave your instrument
with the music teacher or at the school. We cannot terminate
your contract until we actually have the instrument in our possession.

*NEW indicates an instrument that is brand new.
*AS NEW indicates an instrument that has been used but is in like new condition.
* USED indicates an instrument that has been used and may present external signs of wear, but is otherwise in excellent playing condition.
All
rentals require a valid credit card (Visa/Mastercard/American Express)
and a driver's license number for security. In the event that a customer
does not have a credit card, they will be asked to consent to a credit
check before rental can proceed.
Rentals are limited to the province of British Columbia, Canada only.
We regret that we cannot ship string instruments such as Cellos, Violins,
Violas and Double Basses outside of the Vancouver Island, BC area.
